The Yas Viceroy

Commissioned at an unusually late stage, designs for this super-luxury hotel tested Red’s international teamworking to the limits. Replacing the original highly inefficient design concept with a scheme entirely fit for purpose, Red carried out all MEP for the hotel – including the production of 1300 drawings – in just twelve weeks.

Red engineers worked on site throughout the construction, as part of a dedicated team which saw the hotel, the centrepiece of the new F1 circuit, open in time for the inaugural Grand Prix.

The Yas Viceroy is set half on land and half on water, overlooking the Yas Marina & Yacht Club and positioned on the Yas Marina Circuit, which plays host to the annual Abu Dhabi Formula 1™ Grand Prix.

Colour-changing LEDs shroud the distinctive gridshell structure of the 499-key contemporary hotel that also features 13 restaurants and lounges.
