FUJITSU LONDON NORTH
Complete MEP design of new 36,000 sq ft data centre to Uptime Institute’s Tier III rating for Fujitsu. The project won Data Centre Dynamics Innovation in a Mega Data Centre Award 2008 and UK Most Sustainable Building Services Award 2008.
HSBC – SOUTHERN
Concept design and employers requirements for a new London data centre; electrical design for two new 90,000 sq ft data centres in the north of England and one new 30,000 sq ft data centre in the Home Counties for HSBC. Awarded BREEAM Excellent rating.
HSBC – NORTHERN
Concept design and employers requirements for a new Tier IV data centre of 250,000 sq ft incorporating highly efficient energy saving design.
INFINITY
Red is the lead consultant providing full MEP design for multiple phases of independent data space, working with MITIE Infrastructure to deliver Infinity’s Data Centre within the M25. The projects comprise the conversion of parts of the existing building to form new data halls with their associated plant areas. These include a Tier IV design element and various data spaces ranging from 8,000 sq ft to 35,000 sq ft
JP MORGAN CHASE
Lead consultants designing M&E services for a £16m, two-storey UK Tier III+ data centre. Includes 15000ft2 of net technical space with 2(N+1) rotary hybrid UPS; N+1 generators; N+2 chillers and free cooling, reducing energy consumption by up to 40%.
Telecity Powergate West London
TelecityGroup is developing phase 2 of the Powergate complex. Work is now underway, adding more power, capacity and flexibility to its existing highly resilient infrastructure, power availability, and choice of networks. Over the coming months, the data centre’s capacity will expand to meet growing customer demand, adding:
- 21 megawatts (MW) of customer power, delivering a total customer load of 29MW.
- 2 floors; 12 zones, making a total of 20; and an extra 10,000 square metres, taking the overall size to around 15,000 square metres.
- Flexible deployment options from 4-20 kilowatts (kW) of customer power per rack.
GCE DATA CENTRES
We are delighted to support GCE Data Centres who offer a one-stop solution to secure data storage. Red have been selected to provide M&E Services to them.
DLR AMSTERDAM
Red carried out the detailed design and site supervision for the fit to an existing live Data Centre Facility in Amsterdam providing over 2000m2 of new technical space to Tier 3 criteria. Full free cooling chillers were utilised and the site was designed to achieve an annualised PUE of less than 1.4.
In addition the project also encompassed the fit out of support offices which was provided with a standalone Standby Generator and comfort cooling systems.
The project was completed on an extremely fast program and our role included the liaison and coordination of the upgraded electrical supply with the local utility Liander.
MERCEDES BENZ UK
Procurement specification for a modular data centre
We’ve been involved with Mercedes to write new performance specifications and develop their data centre strategy creating a new data centre facility at their UK Headquarters.
Key features of the new facility include: Tier III resilience and concurrent maintainability along with energy efficiency.
We’ve also assisted Mercedes in the tender process vetting tender returns through to appointment of a successful vendor.
