Now in its third year, the Datacentre Central and Eastern European Forum’s theme for this year’s conferences focuses on “thinking differently about data centres”. The event will bring together key players, users and suppliers in the high growth data centre IT infrastructure and cloud sectors.
Alex Nock is speaking at the event on the topic, CFD Beyond the White Space. The presentation will explore the importance of computational fluid dynamics in the design of external plant compounds. The use of CFD techniques is now widely used throughout the data centre industry for the design of data halls. However, it is not as readily considered as a tool for the design and laying out of plant compounds.
This presentation will review the importance of using CFD techniques to mitigate the formation of hot spots and recirculation within plant compounds that significantly impact the operational performance of heat rejection plant under differing environmental conditions.
