RED were proud to be Associate Sponsors at this year’s Data Centre Dynamics conference in Istanbul.
DCD is the world’s largest peer-led data centre conference and expo. This year marked the 4th annual event in Istanbul and is widely acknowledged as the leading event in the Turkish Datacenter Sector.
RED’s Ken McLean joined a team of industry professionals on a panel to discuss “The Future of Data Centres in Turkey”. Whilst Alex Knock joined Future Facilities to deliver a talk on “CFD Beyond the White Space”.
The presentation reviewed the important of using CFD techniques to mitigate the formation of hot spots and recirculation within plant compounds that significantly impact the operational performance of heat rejection plant under differing environmental conditions. Together with the importance of computational fluid dynamics in the design of external plant compounds.
The use of CFD techniques is now widely used throughout the data centre industry for the design of data halls. However, it is not as readily considered as a tool for the design and laying out of plant compounds.
