In 2008, RED designed this energy-efficient data centre in Europe for Fujitsu using their Green Data Centre package. This scheme incorporates key developments including full heat recovery and a 85m 2MW wind turbine. Whilst the design is incredibly energy efficient RED has also achieved, with this building, the first UK Data centre certified Tier III by the Uptime Institute. The Green Data Centre Package is now a major tool in RED’s drive to make low carbon design the only internationally acceptable approach.

Fujitsu London North achieved a 72% reduction in operating power requirement, saving 11,788 tonnes CO₂ per year – equivalent to 7,000 UK homes.
