RED Engineering

I’m Technical Director at RED Singapore Office. I enjoy representing a minority and being a role model for others. I can still recall attending my first set point workshop in a local school in Manchester as Set Point Science and Engineering Ambassador can’t believe this was 30 years ago too, encouraging all school pupils especially young girls to consider a career in Science and Engineering.

I have two nieces who just completed their engineering degrees a couple of years ago and one more having another two years left before she completes her Engineering degree which I know I played a part in choosing their career path and mentoring them so far to date.

Engineering remains a male -dominated field, particularly in Construction Engineering which is why its important that we all play our part in encourage more women and girls to consider a career in Engineering, we need more engineers to help us continue to build a dynamic and growing economy.
