Now in its 12th year, DatacenterDynamics Converged London is the flagship event for the data center and mission-critical infrastructure community. Across the 20-21st November, over 2,000 members of the data center industry will convene at the ExCel ICC for two days of networking and knowledge sharing.
DCD is the world’s largest peer-led data centre conference and expo. The event will bring together key players, users and suppliers in the high growth data centre and cloud sectors. RED’s Alex Nock will be joining Future Facilities to deliver a talk on “CFD Beyond the White Space”.
The presentation will explore the importance of computational fluid dynamics in the design of external plant compounds. The use of CFD techniques is now widely used throughout the data centre industry for the design of data halls. However, it is not as readily considered as a tool for the design and laying out of plant compounds.
This presentation will review the importance of using CFD techniques to mitigate the formation of hot spots and recirculation within plant compounds that significantly impact the operational performance of heat rejection plant under differing environmental conditions.
