Red Engineering Design appointed to 10 Trinity project

RED has been appointed to carry out M&E design and monitoring for the 10 Trinity Square project, the planning application for which has just been submitted.

10 Trinity Square is the former Port of London Authority HQ in the heart of the City of London, which has been bought by Singapore investment and property company KOP and Beijing-based international investment house Reignwood Group. The refurbishment and redevelopment project is being carried out by their joint venture, Bullet Investments Ltd, and will see the heritage building transformed into a luxury hotel, spa, private residences and club, due for completion in 2014.

RED director Mike Baker, whose team is responsible for building services at 10 Trinity Square, is looking forward to the challenges presented by the project: “Bringing 21st century services into this Grade II-listed building will be complex, as we adapt to the constraints of the building’s configuration while working with the architectural design team, Woods Bagot, to ensure sympathetic retention of the building’s aesthetic integrity.”

The super-prime development commands breathtaking views over London. The residential 37 apartments will be spread over four floors and comprise a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom units, as well as penthouses. The 120-room hotel will be of the highest specification, with the feel of a luxury private residence.
