IsBank takes home “Infrastructure Scale Out Award” for Project Atlas

IsBank took home the “Infrastructure Scale Out” award for Project Atlas at the DCD Awards last week at the Lancaster London.

The Infrastructure Scale Out award acknowledges large data centre projects, the behemoths of the digital infrastructure world. They can cost hundreds of millions to build, employ thousands of construction workers and ultimately consume vast quantities of energy as well as bring economic transformation to large populations.  

RED was the Lead Consultant for this 44,000 m² new build ‘seismically isolated’ data centre facility and responsible for the management and integration of all disciplines including architectural and structural engineering.

The project scope was to deliver an Uptime Tier IV and LEED certified data centre facility that fully met the client’s requirements and to provide cost effective flexibility for technology expansion.

The project utilises a whole building approach to sustainability incorporating the techniques of  a sustainable rating system such as LEED.

This new build data centre has achieved the Uptime Institute Tier IV Certification for Design. It is also the first Tier IV Constructed Facility certified site in Turkey and will achieve the Uptime Institute Operational Sustainability Certification in due course.

Project Atlas also received a “Highly Commended” award for Sustainable Project of the Year last month at the MEP Middle East awards in Dubai.
