The RED Asia team headed by Regional Director, Martin Webb visited the Bahay Maria Orphanage on 17th September 2016.
Bahay Maria is an Orphanage in the Philippines for abandoned and surrendered young children specifically girls from the poorest communities. It provides formal education for the children and teaches them to become responsible children and model citizens.
The office team organised the Charity event and donated their time and basic necessities such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, hair brushes and hair bands. The company also donated a cash sum along with personal donations from the staff to help with running costs.
This was a moving experience for the team who enjoyed the time spent playing games and handing over presents to the children along with the delivery of Jolly Bee (the Philippines answer to McDonalds).
Special thanks to all volunteers from RED’s Manila office and the Management Team for making this day possible.
