We now seek a Sustainability Engineer to be based in our Manila office.

Role Responsibilities

  • Undertake various energy and thermal modelling assignments using IES VE software such as heating and cooling load calculations, regulations compliance modelling, certification related modelling (BREEAM/LEED/NABERS/WELL), energy conservation measures modelling for Energy Audits and Net Zero Intervention studies.
  • Assist in supporting BREEAM/LEED/NABERS/WELL certification process.
  • Assist in supporting BREEAM/LEED/NABERS/WELL/RIBA Green overlay related bid and tender preparation and coordination.
  • Gather information through issuing RFI’s to the project team.
  • Work closely with fellow sustainability engineers, MEP engineers and other entities of the project teams to confirm information and strategy and to assess the asset’s performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Provide technical support to the project team.
  • Flexibility to assist colleagues in meeting business/project deadlines.
  • Mentor junior team members by developing their skills and providing guidance.
  • Carry out independent reading and research to support the sustainability team on various specialist topics, latest development in net zero carbon policy, drives, and legislation in the UK and globally, industry best practices, etc.
  • Prepare and provide presentations by conducting Sustainability Inductions and workshops.

Role Requirements

You will need to possess the following professional and technical expertise:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Management, Sustainability Management, Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Relevant 3-5 years’ experience in Sustainability consulting and/or building services engineering design and/or BREEAM/LEED/NABERS/WELL/certification schemes.
  • BREEAM/LEED/NABERS/WELL/ accreditation is desirable.

 

Technical Skills:

  • A keen interest and/or good technical knowledge (preferable) of sustainability in the built environment.
  • Experience in interpreting local regulations requirements for compliance such as Part L (UK) or other countries’ regulatory code.
  • Proficiency in using energy modelling software such as IES VE (preferable), Design Builder, TAS, HAP, etc.
  • Experience in delivering and/or knowledgeable in BREEAM/LEED/NABERS/WELL/certification schemes (preferable).
  • Basic general understanding of Building Services design and engineering terms.
  • High quality report writing skills and report proof-reading skills.
  • Familiarity with working online remotely from home using communication tools such as Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
  • Familiarity in using MS office applications. Demonstration of high level of competency of using MS Excel is desirable.
