When
17 February 2026
As a Silver Sponsor and exhibitor at Data Center Nation Paris 2026, RED will contribute to discussions shaping France’s fast-growing Data Centre market.
France is one of Europe’s most advanced low-carbon power markets and continues to attract investment in digital infrastructure. As Data Centre demand accelerates, the focus is increasingly on grid resilience, future power availability, and innovative energy solutions to support long-term growth.
At DCN Paris, RED will share insight from its work supporting complex Data Centre developments, reflecting the continued expansion of RED’s team in France and its ability to support projects at scale across Europe.
Speaking at DCN Paris
Mohammad Royapoor, Head of R&D at RED, will be speaking at Data Center Nation Paris.
Session: Small reactors, big reactions: How soon can SMRs strengthen France’s grid?
Date: 17 February 2026
Time: 14:00 - 14:35
Location: Hall 3, Palais des Congrès de Paris
With 94% of France’s electricity already low-carbon, the country is well positioned to explore next-generation energy solutions for data centres. In this session, Mohammad will examine the potential role of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) in supporting grid resilience and clean power availability, alongside the practical considerations around cost, regulation, public perception, and long-term viability. Drawing on France’s experience with nuclear power, the session will assess whether SMRs represent a realistic near-term option for meeting accelerating digital infrastructure demand, or whether alternative approaches may offer a more practical path forward.
