RED was the lead consultant designing M&E services for a £16m, two-storey UK Tier III+ data centre. Includes 15000ft² of net technical space with  two (N+1) rotary hybrid UPS; N+1 generators; N+2 chillers and free cooling reducing energy consumption by up to 40%.  RED was also appointed as lead designer for the Media Library fit-out within JPMorgan’s Out-of-Town Data Centre along with  critical infrastructure upgrades for the four live data halls.

A large amount of technical space was required relative to the size of the site and building. Through innovative space planning, we achieved the client’s requirements. RED closely managed Scottish and Southern and convinced them to provide a dedicated project manager (delivery of the new HV supply was critical. Through weekly meetings and management, the HV supply was delivered on time. Without doubt, this close management of the utility company contributed to the success of the project.
