Confidential Data Centre, Denmark

The project consisted of 2 no 150 kV/170 MVA (High Voltage dual resilient) A& B stream substations located in Sothern Denmark to support one of the largest mission critical facilities in Europe.

The Substation was unmanned so Commissioning of the SCADA system was of paramount importance, thus ensuring the Operations teams had full remote control of the facility from alternate locations, as and when required. This also gave them the ability to act on any events or registered alarms from SCADA in order to avert any catastrophic failures to the main facility.

All HV incoming supply conductors were diversely routed and encased in concrete to ensure optimum resilience and to minimise potential power outages to the facility it was supporting. This approached was also followed to all incoming and outgoing fibre optic cables.
