Paris Office Project

The project is the creation of a 66,000ft² new financial services office for a confidential major international bank within a developer building in central Paris. The scope of the project includes critical infrastructure enhancement to support a 350 position financial trading facility.

RED was appointed to carry out a due diligence review and feasibility study to assist the client in finalising its requirements for the building. RED subsequently developed the design for all new services within the building, working in conjunction with a local partner to ensure compliance with local standards.

The design solution included the addition of tenant generator/UPS plant and standalone emergency chilled water plant, to provide adequate levels of MEP resilience to suit the needs of the client.

Integration of these extensive resilient tenant services within a building not originally designed to support financial services operations posed numerous challenges. Not least of these was the coordination of power, IT and trader desk cooling installations within a shallow raised floor.
